Community Media Minor
Saint Mary’s Media Production Program offers students a multitude of pathways to pursue their passion in digital media storytelling, and prepares them for careers in increasingly media-focused job environments.
Rooted in alternative forms of media distribution and committed to local and collaborative action, it is an interdisciplinary field and practice that blends audiovisual production courses with studies in social action and activism, ethics, politics, cultural and ethnic studies, information technology, public history, and environmental justice.
Students interested in documentary filmmaking, digital storytelling, journalism, archiving and oral histories, or media-driven social change would greatly benefit from this minor.
